Thunderstorm Advisory Issued Again For Today

The island can expect some more inclement weather today [July 24], with the Bermuda Weather Service issuing a Thunderstorm Advisory again – valid for this morning and again this evening.

Today’s forecast said there will be sunny breaks with a few showers, chance of thunder early and later, with a high near 29°C/84°F. Tonight will see mostly cloudy conditions with occasional showers, risk of thunder, with winds west-southwesterly moderate to strong, increasing strong with gusts to gale force possible in showers.

Yesterday saw numerous bolts of lightning over many parts of Bermuda, and some damage caused by lightning striking a insulator on a utility pole at the Swing Bridge in St George’s.
