The Bermuda Bicycle Association Crime Stoppers Road Race was held on Sunday [Aug 12] and saw Mark Hatherley from Winners Edge ride to victory in a sprint finish in the Adult A Class clocking 48:09.8.
Johan Vivier riding for Tokio finished second .1 of one hundredth of a second behind clocking 48:09.9 and Clifford Roberts from Fast Forward Bicycle Works finished third clocking 48:10.2.
The Adult B Division also had a sprint finish with Anthony Bartley from Crime Stoppers crossing the line in 36:52.0. Daniel Oatley from Fast Forward Bicycle Works finished .2 of a hundredth of a second back in 36:52.2 and Nathaniel Hartwig from Winners Edge was another .2 of a hundredth of a second back in clocking 36:52.4.
Clive Hook clocked 32:19.7 winning the Adult C Division while Alex McManus finished second in 32:23.6 and McQuinn Burch finished third in 32:29.6.
Wenda Roberts from Fast Forward Bicycle Works won the Women’s race clocking 19:22.3. Gabby Arnold from Winners Edge was second in 19:23.4 and Stacy Babb from Crime Stoppers finished third in 19:24.4.
