Was the motorcycle traveling by itself? Why NO mention of the bike rider? I know the details are sketchy, but was it a hit and run? Did he head-butt a runaway motorcycle… geesh!

Look at the comment time and the update time idiot

No, chris, “Liars!” is quite correct (no need to wait for the update, or to call the poster an idiot), if you can read just as far as the second paragraph of the original article you may see the phrase: “when the motorcyclist struck him”.

Reading comprehension. Try it. It’s good for you.

That said, I wish the victim a speedy and complete recovery.

Why do I even bother. Read Just One’s comment. They clearly want to know what happened to the rider, not verification that a “motorcyclist struck him”, which is… Kind of obvious. You’re an idiot too. :)

Why does Bernews allow name-callers to post here? It’s very immature and disrespectful. I posted that comment well before the update. Anyways, love you guys!

@Liars-you’ve made yourself look stupid…this is something I’ve mentioned before with the Police reporting. They said “…was walking when he was hit by a motorcycle that was travelling…” It makes it sound like the motorcycle was zooming along on its own ready to hit someone.

It should have said ‘hit by a motorcycle ridden by a xx-year-old’ or ‘hit by a rider on a motorcycle’ or something like that. Reading it as it was written, it looks like the motorcycle was travelling unmanned. They don’t file police reports like this overseas-it looks so stupid.

Bottom line: the ‘motocycle’ wasn’t travelling-it was being controlled by someone who was travelling.

To the drunk driver who struck this man… You do not deserve to be alive. To the man struck, best wishes to you and your loved ones.

I drove past Roxdene Apartments this afternoon; someone has thoughtfully left a bouquet of red and white carnations on the light/telephone pole outside the entrance.
