The Lindo’s T20 Final will be held on Friday [Aug 10] when Eastern County rivals Bailey’s Bay and St. David’s battle it out for the coveted T20 Trophy under lights at Somerset CC. The game starts at 6.30pm.
Zach Moniz of Lindo’s stated, “Lindo’s is proud to be able to continue to support T20 in conjunction with the BCB. The changing of the structure to allow for the semi-finals and the final to be played on a Friday evening has been a great initiative, which we warmly applaud.
“Lindo’s appreciates the family orientation that the BCB has given to this competition and we look forward to crowning a worthy champion on Friday.”
Stephen Outerbridge, Captain of Bailey’s Bay stated, “The Lindos T20 tournament has become a major part of the senior domestic season and Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club is very excited to have an opportunity to capture this prestigious trophy.
“I am looking forward to having the opportunity to beat our Eastern County rivals St. David’s, and hopefully it will give us the momentum needed to be successful on August 12th [50 overs League] & August 18th [Eastern Counties].
“I applaud the BCB and the sponsors for creating a family oriented evening for this game. The live streaming of this game is an excellent move to enhance the visibility and popularity of our great sport.”
Lloyd Fray, President of the BCB stated, “I am very excited by the popularity of the Friday evening games that we have held at Somerset CC this year. The T20 format is explosive, fun to watch and can be enjoyed by all the family. I expect a very entertaining game of cricket between these well matched teams.”
