30-Yr-Old Woman Injured In Paget Collision

A 30-year-old woman was injured when her motorcycle collided with a car on Friday.

A police statement said: “Around 6pm on Friday, October 19th police and first responders attended a reported collision at the junction of Middle Road and Chapel Road in Paget. It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road and a car was being driven along Chapel Road when the vehicles collided at the junction.

“The motorcycle rider, a 30 year old Warwick woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment; however her injuries did not appear to be serious. There were no other injuries reported. Both vehicles were damaged, the motorcycle extensively.

“Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Courtney Simmons on 295-0011.”

    I saw the aftermath of this collision. The car “being driven along Chapel Road” was on top of the bike and in the W-bound lane of Middle Road. WTF?
    Please people, slow down!

    No doubt that the car was exiting Chapel Road and pulled out in front of the cyclist.
