Bermuda Swimmers Win 24 Medals In Canada

Four swimmers from the Sharks Swim Club recently competed at the Brad Townsend Fall Classic which was hosted by Oakville Aquatic Club in Canada. Between them they won twelve Gold Medals, eight Silver Medals and four Bronze Medals in the event.

Keagan Woolley competed in eight events and won 8 Gold Medals, while Holly Burton won 3 Gold and Jessica Bruton [pictured] won the other Gold Medal.

Holly Bruton finished second in the Female 9 & Under 50m Freestyle Short Course Finals clocking a time of 38.76, while Jessica Bruton won the Bronze Medal clocking 40.28.

During the Female 9 & Under 100m Freestyle Short Course Finals Holly Bruton won the Gold Medal with a time of 1:26.70, with Jessica Bruton winning the Bronze Medal clocking 1:28.40.

Holly Bruton won the Silver Medal during the Female 9 & Under 50m Backstroke Short Course Finals after she touched the wall in a time of 44.84, Jessice Bruton finished 4th in a time of 47.30.

A Gold Medal was won by Holly Bruton when she finished first in the Female 9 & Under 100m Backstroke Short Course Finals clocking 1:35.70, with Jessica Bruton winning the Silver Medal with a time of 1:35.90.

Jessica Bruton won the Gold Medal in the Female 9 & Under 200m Backstroke Short Course Finals with a time of 3:24.10, while Holly Bruton won Gold in the Female 9 & Under 50m Breaststroke Short Course Finals with a time of 46.68 and Jessica claimed the Silver Medal in the Female 9 & Under 50 Butterfly Short Course Finals with a time of 47.87.

Keagan Woolley captured Gold in the Male 9 & Under 50m Freestyle Short Course Finals clocking 34.49, while Brian Desmond finished second with a time of 47.70.

Woolley also won Gold in the Male 9 & Under 100m Freestyle Short Course Finals touching the wall in a time of 1:16.80 and Desmond won the Silver in a time of 1:39.90.

Woolley won the Gold Medal in the Male 9 & Under 200m Freestyle Short Course Finals clocking 2:51.20, he then captured Gold in the Male 9 & Under 50m Backstroke Short Course Finals clocking 44.35, while Desmond won Silver clocking 57.82.

Clocking a time of 1:33.40 saw Keagan win Gold in the Male 9 & Under 100m Backstroke Short Course Finals, while Desmond won the Silver Medal clocking 1:55.90.

In the Male 9 & Under 50m Breaststroke Short Course Finals, Woolley won Gold again clocking 47.66, while Desmond won Bronze with a time of 1:11.90.

Woolley won the Gold Medal in the Male 9 & Under 100m Breaststroke Short Course Finals with a time of 1:45.70, while Desmond won the Bronze clocking a time of 2:34.20

    It looks like only the Swimmers,Track atheletes,Martial Artist,gymnist,can win overseas.- Football and Cricket is a failure – infact it has been a waste of money and time.

    When they compete against the same level of competition and do well – gold medals or solid results at competitions that have international class swimmers would be a start….
