Ladies, use the washroom stall on the right. The one on the left is adjacent to the patio and separated by a mostly-opaque window which allows the people outside to see your side silhouette as you sit down to pee … gross.

With the Waterlot being one of the very few restaurants making money, Rick is clever to offer them competition. if his prices are better and his service is top notch he might pull it off.

im with you on this one streetwise …and those that cant wait to go try out a new hi-end establishment just confirms to me that not all feel this economic pinch….i cant afford wat is available now…so i dont give a flying f#@k about this new dining experience…
plus who announces this steakhouse and show nothing but expensive liquor and pretty decor..? i wanna see photos of prepared food and their portions along with prices….well i guess like the saying goes…”if you have to ask the price, then you cannot afford the goods”…maybe he couldnt get permission for another bar on front street…so makes a so called hi- end restaurant which i guarrantee liquor sales will surpass food sales…any bets????

The restaurant business is risky in the best of times and Bermuda is far from bottoming out in my opinion. Times are tough no doubt but will not only survive but flourish. I am often foolish but never a fool and love when expectations are low as it drives me even harder to succeed . The comments the first week have been fantastic and we look forward to improving our product to exceding the highest expectations and providing a fun night out for the mature crowd.

Good luck. It’s a great spot to have an upscale bar/restaurant.

It’s a shame that even with the sheer number of photographs there’s no real clue to the interior decor. Maybe that’s the point and you have to go to find out. Seems like the photographer tried to be a little to “arty” and the close ups of the spirit bottle seem a bit of a waste of time.

Rick seems to know what he’s doing though so I hope people give it a go. I will!

You got guts Rick (or else you’re foolish), opening a new high end restaurant in this economic climate. Especially if the plp get re-elected. If they do, much of the Middle Class (black & white) may leave the Island! And the rest of us won’t have any disposable income for eating in restaurants anyway. Then what…?!
