BBFS Life Skills Programme Mini Tournament

HSBC and BBFS will be facilitating their Annual Life Skills Mini Football Tournament on Friday [Dec 14] at the Dellwood Middle School starting at 3.15pm. The closing of the 7 week football and life skills programme will see middle school students compete, foster friendship and discuss the life skills learned.

During the 7 week programme the students of Dellwood, Whitney Institude and TN Tatem Middle School received 55 minutes of training followed by 15 minute life skills presentations. The presentations were provided by;

  • The Human Rights Commission – Sportsmanship and Respect
  • HSBC Bermuda – Using Football as a tool to further your education & How to Save for the Future
  • Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School – Discipline & The importance of joining the BFA Youth Academy
  • CADA – Alcohol & Drug Prevention and Using Healthy tactics to deal with negative peer pressure
  • The Bermuda Police Service – Avoiding Gangs and other forms of Anti-Social activities

A spokesperson said, “BBFS wishes to thank all of the partner Middle Schools and a ‘Special Thank You’ to the Dellwood Middle School for the usage of their gymnasium. BBFS is also proud to be a partner of HSBC Bermuda and look forward to continuing this very successful partnership.”
