Makeem “Haz” Bartley To Perform At Chewstick

This Saturday, December 15th, talented songwriter and emcee Makeem “Haz” Bartley will be featured at The Chewstick Neo-Griot Lounge & Café as the latest artist to craft a Griot Session.

Makeem “Haz” Bartley is a soul singer, rapper, and songwriter. His fusion of hip hop and soul will be complemented with Delijah Symonds.

The 19 year old Bermudian songstress who has her sights on Broadway and will be holding a performance of her own to fundraiser for in the hopes of accompanying Up With People on an international tour in the Summer of 2013. Ms. Symonds is eager to lend her talents to the show and to share her talents alongside Haz’s expressive voice and lyrics.

After wowing audiences at the 6th Annual BeachFest Emancipation Celebration two years ago, Haz has gone on to complete two mixtapes and take part in a multitude of local performances and project collaborations including the recently completed Stealth Ninja Chronicles II and a featured performance in the Bermuda National Gallery’s 2012 Biennial of Bermudian Contemporary Art there he shared a reinterpretation of an exhibit by Antoine Hunt.
