Salvation Army Receives $10,000 Donation

The Salvation Army accepted a ten thousand dollar donation from HSBC Bermuda’s directors, management and staff in lieu of gifts and various other Christmas initiatives. The Bank is assisting this worthwhile charity to continue its work in our community by celebrating the spirit of the holiday season in a meaningful way through the gift of giving.

Major Shawn Critch, Divisional Commander, Salvation Army said, “I am grateful for the social consciousness and community commitment of partners like HSBC Bermuda. The Salvation Army is very appreciative of the generosity and confidence expressed in its mission by the corporate community.

“Such financial partnerships represent a critical component of our sustainable funding in support of the mission. There will be many individuals and families who will benefit from this corporate donation by HSBC Bermuda and its Board of Directors.”

Richard Moseley, CEO, HSBC Bermuda explains “The Salvation Army touches the lives of so many people in Bermuda. We recognise the importance and understand the challenges charities and organisations like the Salvation Army face when it comes to funding. We hope this gift brings some relief to the Christmas Programme and fundraising appeal.”

    I still wonder if they know that it’s over 3000 people unemployed.
