1300 Customers Temporarily Lose Electricity

Approximately 1300 customers in the Crawl and Clayton areas temporarily lost power early this morning [Jan 25] due to two separate, weather-related outages, BELCO confirmed.

A BELCO spokesperson said: “Approximately 1300 customers in the Crawl and Clayton areas were affected by two separate, weather-related outages this morning. Both outages occurred around 6:00am, and the majority of customers had power restored within 90 minutes.

“About 200 customers, however, were without power for 2 hours, 55 minutes, while equipment was replaced. BELCO apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience.”

    During Igor you had us back on in 2 hours, today this was back on for 7.40am so that I could have a shower and get to work good job and thank you very much for responding to the calls people would have made as I called at 6.20am and it was already logged in your systems

      Thank you? Happens wayy to friggin frequently even in the fairest of weather conditions.

      Remember the pole by Landfall that time? It rained and the damn power went out. Rain. No wind. Just rain, wasn’t even a hard rain and poof, lights out for hours; happened twice in as many days.
