760 Customers Lose Power For 75 Minutes

Approximately 760 customers were without power for just over one hour last night [Jan 8] in the Hamilton parish area. BELCO confirmed the outage started at 6:51pm, and power was restored at approximately 8:07pm. Crews were quickly dispatched, and could be seen working in the area.

    Ya so what was the problem? Power being out in light weather is a fairly frequent occurrence… wuffless.

      @Micro:I was one of those unfortunate people and I don’t think the weather was the problem-there wasn’t even a breeze. There was a loud bang before the power went out so I guess something blew.

      It’s true that the workers were on the scene quickly-right after the outtage, the crews were out there going from pole to pole trying to find the problem. It was a bit annoying, but Belco did get right on it.

    Not surprising !
    The Old ancient BELCO fossil fuel system along with some wiring that was put in place since the 40′s.
    Expensive to run, = high electric light bills.
