January 20 Karting Race Day Postponed

January 18, 2013

This weekend’s scheduled go-kart race day for January 20th has been postponed. Due to the many International Race Weekend events, St.John’s Ambulance Brigade is stretched out to capacity, and is unable to provide us with the Karting Association with an Ambulance crew for the event.

Hence, the Committee decision has been made to postpone our event, and they will look at the options available for a make-up day sometime later in the season. Next race day has been rescheduled on February 3rd.

See now here is where community service instead of the Regiment would help. A larger St Johns would be able to cover more events. More people in St Johns would allow some St Johns folks to actually take a day off on the weekends every once in awhile.

Serving in St Johns would be more rewarding to the soul than the Regiment & one would learn some life saving skills good for the rest of one life.

But anyone who get’s called up for the Regiment has the option of volunteering for St.John’s, or the Reserve Police, and thereby avoiding the Regiment. And yet still they don’t. Go figure?

  2. Mr Smith says:

just to let you know you can apply to st johns rather than go army but they still have to accept you after a interveiw process so there is no automatic go to st johns instead of army
