Desperate times calls for desperate measures

    • tricks are for kids says:

      @Boss….yup……

I’m just curious as to how some people get through if Custom Officers do due diligence? ??….guess these two didn’t have “permission”…

In a New Jack City we Gonna need a New Jack Police Service,,

  2. owner4comment says:

There’s no immediate change near by as far as prosperity for jobs is concerned therefore sadly this trend will continue. And then they’ll be given harsh sentences that will undermine their life indefinitely for so long as they live, and beyond that they’ll be pressured even more to put it all on the line again because they’ll be judged not only by the court justices but by the public judges as well and let me tell you Bermuda has the most unscripted judges per capita in the world!!

    • jon says:

Desperate times, get real, people have been trying to import drugs into the island when things where good.

  3. @so it go says:

Get Rich or go Jail trying! Desperate times

  4. It behooves me as to why so many people, try to bring in any sort of illegal drugs, especially knowing that the up to date technologies can pick up that which is illegal. To ALL others that may try to do the same script, just remember the system cannot be beat. And those of you whom has had luck; good for u…..BUT your turn just may come. So to all the wanna bees, even though they say desperate times metes out desperate measures, the police are that desperate too….. to stop importation……that’s their call of duty. Don’t do the crime, if you can’t do the suggested time.

    • DarkSideOfTheMoon says:

I thought the same thing initially, then it occurred to me that loads of people must make it through and this is why people would take chances like this. Getting caught is probably a low probability.

    • What? says:

Oh the system can’t be beat? Really? Well please, let us know how the guns and ammunition are getting through? Please, I’m elated to know.

  5. Islander says:

I feel many times people are forced (families threatened with death or serious harm or same to the person who is bringing in the drugs), much like the killings that have taken place in this Island – if they can’t get the person, they will go after close friends/family members.

    • bermuda shorts says:

Thats still no excuse they shouldnt put themselves in any position to have someone threaten them-People dont just turn up and threaten strangers to bring drugs or else they gonna kill their families so they must have some involvement with the people threatening them-So if they put themselves in that type of stuation they desrve what they get.

  6. CHEEE KUMS BIE says:

ALL OF YOU COMMENTATORS THUS FAR ARE DUMB FOR TALKING ABOUT DESPERATE TIMES ROFL…..THESE TWO SCUM BAGS WAS ABLE TO AFFORD A PLANE TICKET DESPERATE POOR PEOPLE CANNOT AFFORD A PLANE TICKET,THEY ARE NOT LIVING IN POVERTY OR HAVING A HARD LIFE, THIS IS NOT A CASE OF DESPERATION ITS A SIMPLE CASE OF GREED AND NO RESPECT FOR HUMANITY OR THEIR COUNTRY……LOCK EM UP!

    • bermuda shorts says:

I agree wit u Chee Gums Bie -They are not suffering hardships- No Bermudians really are as long as they can travel and eat what they want – The only thing they are suffering is Greed.

    • jon says:

hahahaha ya right cheekums, what poor person has money for a plane ticket, money to buy the drugs and money for hotel stay.

    • Ironic says:

Do you not think it possible, or even likely, that their tickets were paid for by someone else with a vested interest in their cargo? I think you will find that this is the case in the vast majority of these situations…

    • fashion police ! says:

      yup,,

  7. I Am Just Saying says:

@ Cheee Kums and bermuda Shorts….sounds like you know the both of them….but for those that do not know what you may not realize is that just because they got plane tickets does not mean that they paid for them. When someone wants to import drugs (depending on quantity) the person or persons that they are making the run for pays their for expenses…..and yes i know as i have a friend that took the same misguided path. Greed is not always a motive and those that always think that it is are usually the ones that judge the hardest without doing anything to help (running your mouth does not count). Matthews 7: Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. A hand up not a hand out. GREED:a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (as money) than is needed (whose to say how much money these two needed) therefore unless you know the situation its not right to speculate if it was done out of greed.

  18. Just One says:

If people would just stop buying illegal drugs, ALL of our lives would be better. Is that so unrealistic? I know weed smokers need their weed to “keep calm” etc, but I just don’t understand how you could let something become the center of your life! I like to drink, yes alcohol is bad, albeit legal, but it is not the center of my life. If they made it illegal, my life could still go on without it! It is for that reason that I feel Marijuana should never be legal. It has too much control over its users, addictive or not! Not saying that weed was seized in this particular operation, just speaking generally… Why let something have so much control over you?
