Hamilton Road Closures Due To Paving Work

The City of Hamilton today announced road closures which will take place starting this weekend.

“Between 7:00am and 7:00pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013, the junction of Church and King Streets will be closed for resurfacing work. During this time, Church Street will be closed at Court Street and King Street will be closed at Victoria Street. The King Street car parking will not be available during this time,” statement from the City said.

“From 7:00pm on Monday, February 18, paving will take place at the intersection of King and Church Streets. Church Street from Court Street and King Street from Victoria Street will be closed. There will be traffic access for businesses and residences in the area.

“Work will continue on Tuesday, February 19, starting at 10:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday February 20 and 21, paving work will start at 7:30am and end at 4:00pm. One lane of traffic will be open at all times.

“It is anticipated the paving work will end Thursday February 21, weather permitting. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution in this area throughout the week, as the road surface will be rough as work takes place.”

“The City of Hamilton apologizes for any inconvenience these necessary road closures may cause.”

    Good, here’s to hoping its the start of a resurfacing of all the city’s streets, many of them are in an utterly appalling state for a city, let alone a Capital and economic centre.
