Oh for heaven’s sake – shut it people. The individuals who made the garden (Washington Mall Management) ASKED the Premier to come – he doesn’t just walk about all day looking for fun photo shoots to take part in. I suppose you would rather someone follow him with a camera and take photos of him sitting behind a desk doing work or in meetings with his peers? Your comments are childish and ignorant!

@Duane Santucci, did you know that thousands and thousands of dollars was spent on flowers by the last Government… not only at the Cabinet Office but in many of the Ministries… And don’; talk about the catering done at Cabinet Meetings… and we wonder why we are broke! Made some businesses profitable

The idea itself is good, charity and all, and I like the idea of planting the trees – I wish we started a program of using Bermuda Cedars for Christmas trees and planting them after for example.

But my concern is that since the OBA got elected I’ve only heard the Premier in the news three times, and two of those were for photo-shoots.

The trip to the US Presidents inauguration (first class no less!), and now this.

Why is he so quick to be seen when it’s ribbon-cutting or perks, but the invisible Premier the rest of the time? We hear more from the OBA’s Chairpersons than their Leader…

Ok this is a good thing I guess,as long as we dont see a standing order of flowers being delivered to the cabinet office on a weekly basis like one of our former Premiers use to do.

we had several thousand a month spent on flower arrangements that was every week being sent to the Cabinet building for the former Premier when she was in office and I am not referring to Mrs Paula Cox.

So just in case it is a idea then I can save the government money and go to the graveyard and bring them flowers from there before they go in the trash.cheek and tongue for those who get up tight with the comment but I a sure you get the overall thought pattern.
