This Morning’s Low Temperature: 57.4F

The temperature this morning dropped to a low of 57.4F, which although cold by Bermuda standards is far off our February record low of 44F set in 1950.

Bermuda Weather Service Meteorologist Jeff L. Torgerson said, “The low temperatures at the airport for Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th were, respectively, 60.3F [15.7C] and 57.6F [14.2C]. At this time we are reading a low for this morning [Feb 18th] of 57.4F (14.1C).

“The normal lows for the 16th-18th are all 60 degrees F. The record lows for these days, respectively, are 52F, 49F and 47F. February is our coldest month, based on climate data, with the coldest recorded temperature being 44F [6.7C] in 1950 on the 27th and the 28th.”
