Apple iPhones Now Available At CellOne
CellOne revealed today their official status as an authorized Apple Reseller of iPhones. Now customers at CellOne can get an iPhone [model types 4, 4S and 5] and also receive Apple’s official manufacturer warranty of one year.
“Getting this authorized designation from Apple marks a major differentiator vs. our competitor who does not officially carry any iPhones.” said Frank Amaral, CellOne’s Chief Operating Officer.
“Now CellOne’s iPhone customers have even more security if something goes wrong with the device with the official manufacturer’s warranty of one year.”
“Apple iPhones have been the biggest selling Smartphones around the world in the last few years and have become extremely popular in Bermuda.” said Amaral. “We constantly look at what extra value we can deliver to our customers and this is a natural evolution in service value with our product line-up.”
iPhones at CellOne start at $399 with a two year agreement.

But what about those prices? If you are the now the official authorized reseller, shouldn’t the iPhone 5 16GB cost only like $299 on 2 year contract? $399 at the most? Not 699!
It’s only $199 on a 2-year contract in the US!!! SMH… It’s better to fly in an unlocked iPhone 5 from the US Apple Store at $649 plus duty and use it off-contract!

Cell 1 service is USELESS!
Hmm…I’ve only ever used CellOne (12 years) and always had pretty good service yet my boyfriend has Digicel and is always complaining. Yes Digicel has better phones but I doubt their service is better. I know quite a few Digicel customers who complain frequently. Maybe they are a minority I dont know but I definitely dont agree that CellOne’s service sucks. Just my opinion.
Just One: your logic might work if the local carriers sold as many iPhones as the US carriers. AT&T alone sold over 8 million iPhones in just 3 months. I’m guessing that they’re getting better pricing from Apple than the Bermuda guys…..
Okay, fair point, still they could add on a $20 a month iPhone surcharge to subsidize the cost. That would be an extra $480 at the end of the contract period. Just BE REAL, you know they are capitalizing off of the phone’s popularity and Bermudians’ willingness to buy it, no matter how over-priced it is! To add to your point, they would sell a lot more iPhones if they lowered the prices even more…ijs
