BIFF Film Festival To Be Held April 12-18
The “Sweet 16th”annual Bermuda International Film Festival will take place from April 12 to 18, 2013.The BIFF programming committee has been busy scouring the festival circuit to bring the best in world cinema to the island, alongside some home-grown gems straight from the onion patch.
As BIFF is one of only a small number worldwide of Academy Award Qualifying festival for the Short Film – Live Action Oscar, there will also be a diverse narrative shorts line-up screening in competition for the coveted Bermuda Shorts award presided over by an esteemed judging panel [to be announced].
There will also be a number of thought-provoking and highly regarded short documentaries for your viewing pleasure. The full line-up will be announced in mid-March, with the BIFF box office opening shortly after.

Didn’t go to any of the films last year as they were all at Liberty. That is not a safe area. My friends and family won’t be going again this year if a safer theatre isn’t used. Sad because we bought tons of tickets in years past. Oh well.
That can be said for many areas. I Have been to The Liberty theatre many times and never seen or had any problems. In fact have been to many very night night showings and have always felt safe.

@Concerned — thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated. The majority of the films will be screened at Liberty again this year, mainly due to our budget constraints as we rely 100% on corporate sponsors and private patrons for funding but also because we really like the venue. We had no reported safety issues last year. This year we will also have some special screenings at BUEI so watch this space for news on those.
