March 26, 2013

The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] confirmed that Delray Rawlins has joined the squad to participate in the 50 over matches against USA this week.

The BCB has worked with his school and parents to enable Rawlins to compete for a place in the upcoming WCL 3 in Bermuda. Immediately after the 50 over fixtures against USA Rawlins, along with Greg Maybury and Tre Manders will return to Bermuda until May 6th to be available for WCL 3 if selected.

BCB President Lloyd Fray stated, “We are very grateful for the flexibility and commitment that Delray’s school and family have provided to allow Delray an opportunity to compete for a place in this crucial tournament. The BCB always considers education is the primary concern when approaching young players and we have been provided with full assurance that his studying will be not compromised by this chance to represent our country.”

The squad will be submitted to the ICC by midnight March 28th. The BCB said they expect the ICC will make the official announcements of player and officials shortly after that.
