Teen Remanded: Possession Of Burglary Tools

April 22, 2013

In Magistrates Court this morning [Apr 22], Magistrate Khomisi Tokunbo remanded 18-year-old Marcus Tucker into custody until his sentencing date next month.

Tucker had pleaded guilty to possessing articles [a crowbar, gloves, skullcaps, knife, and screwdrivers] which could be used for burglary. Tucker also pleaded guilty to possessing a bladed article – the knife.

Crown Prosecutor Carrington Mahoney told the Magistrate that earlier this month, Tucker and a companion had been stopped by Police in the Skyline Drive area in Smith’s Parish where there had been a series of house burglaries.

Tucker is reported to have told Police that he was: “just taking a drive.” Tucker’s pillion passenger told Police that he was “visiting a female in the area.” A police search of their persons and the bike turned up the burglary tools.

Speaking on his own behalf, Tucker told Magistrate Tokunbo: “I was in possession of those items. It’s not illegal to have a crowbar.”

The Magistrate remanded Tucker — who has previously been before the Courts — until his sentencing date of May 27th.

I hope so too—I live in the Smiths area and have been watching and hoping to see those responsible for the recent burglaries to be apprehended. This little cretin seems to be building quite a long record for himself—google him. Time for him to go away for a long while.

LOL with tools like that you must be working for Belco or Telco climbing those poles!!! LOL Like seriously, it may not be illegal to carry those items but it sure is stupid of you to do that. Can’t even say it’s part of your job!!!

Please note that a skull cap is a dew rag. It does note cover your face. I hope you dont have any tools under your bike seat or car.
