Weekend Arrests: 17 For Warrants, Drunk Driving
Over this past weekend [Apr 27/28], police officers arrested eight people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme [STEP] continues.
Officers also arrested nine people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
One of the people arrested was a 24 year old Sandys parish woman, who was seen by police driving a car “erratically” along Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road at around 4am on Sunday, April 28th.
“She appeared to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. A court appearance is anticipated in due course,” a police spokesperson said.
