May 22, 2013

Southampton Rangers Sports Club plan to honour Ed Sherlock in the May 24th road race this year, and have entered a total of 10 runners for this year’s event, with the ‘star’ entrant being six time derby champion Ed Sherlock. At the age of 81, the veteran runner will be gracing the roads for yet another Bermuda Day race.

Rangers supplied kits for each of the runners that have “Honoring Ed Sherlock” scrolled across their backs.

Club President, Gerri Saltus said that, “As long as I can remember Mr. Sherlock has been a staple of the Rangers family. So to acknowledge his running accomplishments and his contributions as an elder statesman of Southampton, we decided to do this for him. Camp Hill plans to come alive every time a blue jersey comes running through.”
