Art Exhibition To Look At Rise Of Gang Culture

B.A.R.U Arts Collective will present  ”I for an I”, a collaboration with the Bermuda College Arts Department, on Tuesday, May 21, at Bermuda College Art Gallery. The art exhibition will look at the up rise of gang culture in Bermuda and how our society and its artists coexist with it. There is no entry fee for this exhibition, and for more details please contact BARU.BDA@gmail.com

    but do we need such a thing that represents the downfall of Bermuda -
    and prehaps glorify the worst people that ever lived in modern day Bermuda.

      Yeah. I think we do. Artists react. It’s what we do.

    The exhibition is to allow artists across the community to use art as a social agent for the issues we have on the island. The show is not glorify gang culture but to allow the community to create a dialogue and further examine the roots of the social ills that exists. By having it at the college, we can also examine this issue from an academia point of view.
