Mrs Swan said, “We take transportation as a given, that we can walk out of our homes get into our vehicles and drive off or walk down to the bus stop and hop on the bus, but for many the sad day arrives when they are no longer able to transport themselves, this is the niche Project Action is for this sector of our community.”

All proceeds of the tea will go towards helping Project Action continue to provide free transportation for the elderly.

Retired school teacher Rose Douglas, who manages the schedules of both vehicles, said this for most are the only means of socialization and the men and especially the women get out their best clothes, put on lipstick for these ‘drive outs’ and the excitement is visible when the bus arrives to pick them up.

Welcome Guest open seating tickets are $50.00, Gold Patron Tickets VIP seating for 3 is $500.00, Silver Patron Tickets seating for 2 is $250.00 and Bronze Patron seating for 1 is $100.00.

Tickets are on sale online at www.bdatix.bm and Guilty Pleasures – Upper Washington Mall or can be purchased by calling the office 297-5044.
