Ministry Of Finance On May Fuel Prices

The Ministry of Finance has announced that with effect from last Thursday [May 16], the maximum price of petroleum products in Bermuda changed as follows:

  • Gasoline +1.9 cents/litre
  • Diesel -2.7 cents/litre
  • Kerosene – .5 cents/litre

As a result the maximum prices which can be displayed on pumps for petroleum products are:

  • Gasoline 212.50 cents/litre
  • Diesel 186.20 cents/litre
  • Kerosene 154.90 cents/litre

    Learned something from their US counterparts have they? When summer rolls in & demand increases, shove up the prices. Too bad gas stations are not independently owned & have the latitude to set their own prices. You know, as in have a little competition.

    How about self serve pumps? Me, I don’t need the guy banging the nozzle on the side of my car, over tightening gas caps, cleaning an already clean windshield then expecting a few $ extra for the ‘service’.
