  3. sooooooo says:

Well now W&E have a union meeting on tuesday…no collection then either!!

  4. Toodle-oo says:

aaah yeah , what exactly was the disruption in schedule due to ? Even if one or two trucks broke down it still wouldn’t have had this result.
A load of staff calling in sick today hoping for a four day weekend , maybe ? Can’t rule that out.
Or maybe a union meeting ?

One thing for sure though , as ‘connected’ as we all think we are now it seems only a small fraction of us spend any time on local news sites . I bet that 95% of all that garbage will stay exactly where it already is and by the next collection day will be one unholy mess with half of it scattered well into the next parish.

We are talking about Works and engineering……..who is going to notice the delay?

  6. Jimbob says:

Missed Tuesday, came late Wednesday…could this be a union move because of the quarry?? Seems as if majority of the hard working population have to suffer for a few!!! I can only guess what most of the east end will look like after the holiday??
So fed up with Bro Chris and his antics!
    NOTICE… Not to many comments???

cRaZy. and if people don’t work they shouldn’t be paid, well i hope they’re not unless there is a good reason why they’re not out on the road.

It is the Minister’s responsibility advise the public of the reasons for this non collection—again.

Temporary garbage storage facilities for the holiday weekend will be made available at BIU headquarters. Residents are asked to kindly sling their bags of garbage neatly in front of the building but there’s bonus points if you can get them up to the balcony.

Like Like Like Family Man! Did everyone see that – TEMPORARY GARBAGE FACILITY FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND WILL BE MADE AT BIU HEADQUARTERS.

  12. Prayerful says:

    Family Man you are brilliant.

  13. Honestly says:

I agree to fight trash with trash. I will take mine in a minute to the biu headquarters.

  14. Prayerful says:

Something really needs to be done about garbage collection. I live in the east so not sure what happens in the West, but it is normal for Tuesday garbage to be collected on Wednesdays.

We have no dogs or cats in our neighbourhood, but we have enough crows and starlings that are really a nusance. Crows as big as dogs and starlings and kiscadees as big as cats.

Come on you guys, keep Bermuda beautiful.
