Man Remanded On Imitation Firearm Charges

June 20, 2013

A 25-year-old man was remanded into custody this morning [June 20] after appearing in Magistrates Court in connection with a burglary using an imitation firearm.

Jerome Mader was charged with aggravated burglary, using an imitation firearm when committing a burglary, and having a firearm in his possession after committing an indictable offence [burglary.]. The allegations stem from an incident alleged to have occurred in July 2012 on North Shore Road, Pembroke.

Because the charges are indictable, Mr Mader was not required to plead. Senior Magistrate Archie Warner remanded him into custody until his next appearance in July.

  1. Voice of A Victim says:

If convicted lock him up and torture him so that he can feel the pain and horror of those of us that have had a firearm pointed at them. Fake or not, the victim does not know the difference when an imitation firearm is pointed at them and the effect, horror, and long term suffering is the same. If guilty Lock him up and let someone make him their girlfriend!
