Sensational Zumba Group Cruising To Bermuda

June 2, 2013

The Bermuda Department of Tourism [BDOT] will host a free Zumba class at the Clock Tower Mall in Dockyard on Tuesday, June 4 at 10am.

This event is coordinated by the Department in collaboration with The Sensational Zumba Group from Boston and local Zumba instructor, Dy-Ann Simmons. Forty members who will arrive in Bermuda on the Norwegian Dawn will accompany the owner of Sensational Zumba, Marisa Cole.

Director of the BDOT, William Griffith, explained: “When we learned of Sensational Zumba’s visit to Bermuda, we agreed to join them in promoting health and wellness while vacationing in a beautiful destination like Bermuda.”

It is the group’s first time travelling to Bermuda. Ms Cole has organized the Boston to Bermuda Zumba Cruise for people with similar interests as herself. She hopes to make the Boston Zumba Cruise an annual event with the support of the Bermuda Department of Tourism.

Local residents can join the free class on June 4 and meet the members of group while enjoying the benefits of a good workout and music by DJ Selecta Fray.

Zumba is an easy-to-follow Latin-inspired dance fitness-party high with calorie-burning moves. Zumba classes operate in over 110,000 locations across more than 125 countries.
