BCB Premier Cricket Division Weekend Results

A number of cricket games took place this past weekend [July 20/21], with St. George’s Cricket Club, Western Stars, Southampton Rangers, Bailey’s Bay, St. David’s and Cleveland County all recording wins.

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 71 Runs: St. George’s Cricket Club 275/8 Somerset Cricket Club 204

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the home team won the toss and set the visitors to bat. The St. George’s Cricket Club scored 275/8, with Onias Bascome scoring 148, Bascome hit 11 fours and 12 sixes. Kwasi James was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers returning figures of 9-1-41-2.

In reply the Somerset Cricket Club were bowled all out for 204, Greg Maybury was the top scorer with 46, while Jekon Edness added 30, Macai Simmons was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 10-3-30-3.

Western Stars Win by 8 Wickets: Flatt’s Victoria 105 Western Stars 107/2

At Lord’s in St. David’s, Flatt’s Victoria batted first and were bowled all out for 105. Kijuan Franks was the top scorer with 27, while James Celestine added 20, Ray Butterfield returned bowling figures of 3-0-15-4, while Seth Campbell bowled 6-0-41-3.

In reply Western Stars scored 107/2 in 15.1 overs, Ryan Tyrell was the top scorer with 25, Dano Outerbridge scored 23 not out and Brian Hall scored 20, Franks returned bowling figures of 4-0-17-1 and Vernon Eve bowled 5-1-20-1.

Southampton Rangers Won by 267 Runs: Southampton Rangers 324/6 Somerset Bridge 57

At the Southampton Oval, Janeiro Tucker scored 73, Derrick Brangman added 58 and Kwame Tucker scored 52 not out as the Southampton Rangers scored 294, they were awarded 30 extra runs for a slow bowling rate by the Somerset Bridge. Donnie Charles was the pick of the Somerset Bridge bowlers with figures of 8-3-16-2.

In reply the Somerset Bridge were bowled all out for 57, Ezekial Greenwood was the top scorer with 23, while Dion Stovell led the Southampton Rangers bowling attack with figures of 4-2-4-3, Janeiro Tucker bowled 5.4-1-24-3.

Bailey’s Bay Won by 194 runs: Bailey’s Bay 323/7 PHC 129

At the Sea Breeze Oval, Bailey’s Bay batted first and scored 323/7 in their allotted 50 overs, Tre Manders was the top scorer with 170, Manders hit 13 fours and 14 sixes in his 131 ball inning, Kevin Showers returned figures of 10-0-54-2 for PHC.

In reply PHC were bowled all out for 129, Jaloni Albouy was the top scorer with 44 not out, while Burton Outerbridge bowled 7-1-23-3 and Manders returned figures of 9.4-3-25-3 for Bailey’s Bay.

St. David’s Won by 5 Wickets: Devonshire Recreation Club 132 St. David’s Cricket Club 136/5

A wet pitch forced the game to be delayed at the Devonshire Rec. the match started at 2:40pm and reduced to 28 overs each, St. David’s Cricket Club won the toss and elected to field, Devonshire Recreation Club were bowled all out for 132, Steven Bremar was the top scorer with a knock of 48, while George O’Brien Jr. was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 6-0-31-3.

In reply Ruddell Pitcher scored 43 as St. David’s Cricket Club scored 136/5, Kenny Phillips was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 6-1-24-2.

Cleveland County Won by 2 Wickets: Warwick Workman’s 207 Cleveland County 211/8

At the Wellington Oval, Lionel Cann scored 52 and Jade Darrell scored 32 as Warwick Workman’s were bowled all out for 207, Shakai Darrell returned bowling figures of 5-0-9-2, while Chris Douglas had figures of 8-4-16-2.

In reply Cleveland County recovered from 95/6 to score 211/8, Darrell was the top scorer with 56, while Makai Young added 42 not out. Kani Darrell was the pick of the Warwick bowlers with figures of 8.4-0-63-4.
