Endurance Appoints COO, Chief Risk Officer

Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, announced that Catherine Kalaydjian will assume the role of Chief Operations Officer and Joan deLemps will assume the role of Chief Risk Officer.

Ms. Kalaydjian served as the Chief Claims Officer since March 2007 and was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in December 2012, retaining her Claims role. She joined Endurance in 2003 as Senior Vice President, Head of Claims for the U.S. reinsurance operations.

Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President, Head of Claims for QBE North America. Ms. Kalaydjian is an active leader in industry organizations, having served on several not-for-profit boards and as President of the International Association of Claim Professionals as well as the Association of Professional Insurance Women. Ms. Kalaydjian holds a BA cum laude in Marketing Management from Siena College, Loudonville, NY.

Ms. deLemps joined Endurance in May 2003 and served as Chief Casualty Officer for Endurance’s Worldwide Reinsurance Operation from February 2007 to March 2010. Prior to joining Endurance, Ms. deLemps held various senior underwriting and management positions in the facultative, treaty and finite risk areas. She began her career at Aetna Casualty & Surety prior to joining Swiss Reinsurance and subsequently Gerling Global Financial Products Inc.
