July 23, 2013

The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] confirmed that four U/19 players that competed in the recent ICC U19 World Cup Qualifier have been selected to the ICC Americas All-Star squad which will compete in the West Indies Cricket Board U19 competition from August 9 to August 22.

The selected players are:

  • Kamau Leverock
  • Delray Rawlins
  • Christian Burgess
  • Tre Manders

Lloyd Fray, President of the BCB said, “I am very pleased that your young players have been recognised by the ICC and given this great opportunity. Last year, Kamau Leverock and Joshua Gilbert were selected so we have managed to double the numbers of our representatives. The West Indies U19 is a very strong competition which provides an outstanding opportunity for our players to develop, learn and mature as high performance cricketers.

“The fact that a small nation such as Bermuda can be held in such high regard is a testament to the BCB National Academy program. The Academy program has consistently received worldwide praise and awards for its quality and outputs and these 4 young men are fine examples of the important work our coaches are performing.”
