Back To School Free Haircuts For School Boys

September 3, 2013

Caines Brothers Productions and 5 Star Barbershop will be hosting a back to school “give back” event and offering free complimentary haircuts from 8am on Wednesday [Sept 4] for school aged boys 4-18 years old. 5 Star Barbershop is located at 68 King Street in Hamilton.

The event will see free giveaways including books, pens, pencils and book bags. Brown and Co have donated 100 Chambers Dictionaries towards the cause. Butterfield and Vallis recently took part in a charity bicycle ride where funds were collected from the staff and matched by the company. Those funds have been donated to the Community Give Back event and have been used to buy school supplies.

The Caines brothers are both well known in the community, with Dwayne Caines a familiar face in his role as Police Media Manager, while his identical twin brother Wayne Caines serves as the CEO of Digicel.

Dwayne Caines said, “We all know these are very hard times for some families and there is a need for communities and small businesses to do their part to assist families who are cash strapped. It is to that end, 5-Star Barbershop has teamed up with Wayne and I to host a day of “free” hair cuts for boys.

“Five Star Barbershop has donated their time and talents to provide complimentary haircuts to families with school-aged children [boys] who are in need of a clean, fresh look to start the new school year. So on Wednesday [Sept 4] From 8.00am until 5.00pm, send those boys for a haircut [haircuts must be basic no designs].”

    yawn!

    • I love you guys says:

@Black Man – if they were arraigned for committing crimes, instead of doing something positive, would that make you stop yawning and posting under different aliases to highlight what they had done wrong.

you people simply hate it when people are genuinely trying to do something that benefits other people, with no strings attached.

  4. Life? says:

We must give these guys loads of credit not only for giving back but for stepping up for his own people. This is the way everyone should be but some people are just too selfish. If I had it good I’d be spreading the love too.

    • Whistling Frog says:

You ain’t got to have it good for you to spread your love, It’s free. What goes around comes around…
