  1. boom bye bye says:

Wow. U end up in supreme court for an alleged 1lb of herb?! How much money does the court waste on cases like this I wonder. Its not even worth what they claim its worth. Ridiculous

    • John Peel says:

1 lb of drugs is a lot. 1 ib that leads kids into cocaine, heroin and worse.

If guilty, I hope the court deals the correct custodial sentence.

You fools who love ” the herb” make me sick. You must understand most of us feel very threatened by this. This is not my way of life.

      • Just input says:

You are a fool to believe marijuana is a “gateway” drug! Let me guess, you are a 40/50 something year old that was brainwashed with all the government propaganda concerning the “devils weed” that will make the world go crazy if smoked? Yet, will happily condone alcohol consumption because its legal…

Bermuda needs to break free from its’ antiquated laws by (at minimum) decriminalizing marijuana!! Follow in the foot steps of our mother country and decriminalize for personal consumption; relinquishing wasteful funds on the drug war and concentrating our resources on the gun war!!

(A bigger fool if you believe this gun war has to do with herb!)

        • Just input says:

I lied….UK has not decriminalized herb…but they are far more tolerant to it and I can assure you do not go snooping around tourists accommodations to sus out the miniscule amout deemed so poisonous.

      • WakeUp says:

John Peel , you make me sick . How dare you try and tell grown adults what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. Especially when you probably drink a real drug with real harmful effects. People die of alcohol overdose everyday , no one has ever been harmed by weed alone. It is a plant that grows naturally , it makes me sick to think that humans can try and outlaw mother nature. Cannabis is a proven life saver. I suggest you watch the CNN documentary by DR. Sanjay Gupta called “weed” and try and educate yourself a little before spouting off such nonsense.

  2. andre says:

Where do they get these ridiculous values? Just asking!

    • REALLY!!!! says:

How would you value it. If sold on the streets after you cut it to make a profit?

      • WakeUp says:

        7 g = 1/4 ounce = $150 , so 1lb= $10K

weed cannot be ” cut ” it is not drugs. That is what they do with coke i.e. get it at 80% pure then add something to dilute it to 50% therefore making much more profit.

  3. Puffed Puffed passed says:

I keep wondering what is the draw? The attraction? The lure?
For a bit of burning grass, a person will risk losing fhis/her reedom for. To say I have to pay a fine (in these times) or worse, have to part with my some of my given life time as a penalty for possessing or involvement with ‘burning grass.’
I used to smoke cause my peers smoked. I was introduced to weed by my peers. I didn’t like how it made me feel, neither did I like the extra attention from the police.
Show me your friends and ill tell you who you are. I outgrew my weed smoking friends. Some are now dead, incarcerated, or look like 10miles of bad road. They sit in the shadows still messing with the weed that has robbed them of life. They wait for someone to pass to ‘buy them a drink’, then quickly return to the shadows. There are a few exceptions: some of my old friends still smoke and are successful today. However, the vast majority has been battered from a life with weed. I did my own math, I hope you do as well.

Drugs, weed, alcohol all suck and rob us of life.

  4. BermudaGirl says:

Let’s see…just how many people have died of an herb overdose in the last year? Oh, right! Zero! Alcohol abuse has touched and ruined more families in Bermuda than you can imagine. If you are honest, look at your own family, and see who in it is alcoholic and has ruined their and others’ lives by being so!
