Photos/Video: PLP Back To School Event

September 1, 2013

Scores of children and family members gathered at the Victor Scott School on Saturday [Aug 31] where members of PLP Constituencies 15, 16 and 21 held a Back School Event open to the public.

Everything at the event was free, and the event was hosted by MPs Michael Weeks, Walter Roban and Rolfe Commissiong. Children were entertained with fun castles, train rides, a DJ playing music and more.

Refreshments included hot dogs, beverages, snowballs, cotton candy, popcorn and ice cream. There was also a white elephant stall with many inexpensive items available including footwear and clothing.

  2. Raymond Ray says:

I like how that was worded, “everything was free…” Now just get rid of all the shenanigans and maybe we the people can be one i.e. Bermudians and stop the b/sing with Political Parties saying,”look what we’re doing/done”

    Wonderful event.

That said, I look forward to such events providing healthier FREE food options.

Some Bermudians do not eat meat, or sugary, sweet, nitrate filled, non-organic foods.

This was an awesome event! Bro. Weeks and his wife really care about community and it shows. This event is held every year and they do it for no praise or recognition. Great job! Look forward to next year!
