What does in contact with mean? Its an odd way to phrase someone having an accident. Sorry to hear this about such a young baby. My sympathies to the family! RIP little one.

    • Lisa says:

I think they probably phrased that way because they are still investigating and want to be sensitive to how they put it so as not to lay blame or place fault just yet. I thought the same thing.

  34. Hmmmn says:

    My condolences to the family.

  35. FYI says:

I too have a young child and the thought of losing him is unbearable. Condolences to the family of this precious child and to the taxi driver. May God grant you the peace and comfort needed to get through this emotional time. May God ease your heart and know that He has called on of His angels home to sit with Him in Heaven. So sad my sympathies to both families.

    • Cynic? says:

@FYI: Just so you know, parents who lose kids aren’t exactly comforted with the words that their child has been ‘called home to be an angel.’ In fact, that is a statement that bothers many grieving parents.

As one grieving mother once said at a support group for grieving parents, to the agreement of all: “It’s easy to say that God asked for another angel when He didn’t ask for yours…”

      • FYI says:

@ Cynic: Relax. I know that there are no right words to say during a difficult time such as this, but if what I said can offer the family even a small amount of comfort, then my job is done.

      • Billy Mays says:

        Totally agreed.

      • @Cynic says:

Children are gifts from God. If you believe in God, you will understand that your pain is temporary. You will understand that your loved one had a purpose in your life and may have come at a time when you needed a blessing. No words can comfort your pain, however pain doesn’t last forever. Trust in God, have faith in God and believe that HE is the one that put you on this Earth and HE has the final say in when your time is up.

        • Wil says:

What a stupid thing to say! God put this child here on earth, knowing that he will TAKE him this way.
If that’s your god, I want nothing to do with him.
          AHHHHHH!!!!

I feel sorry for this family. Condolences.

          • Totally agree.

My heart was so heavy when I heard of this tragedy…..I have no idea how you feel, parents, but I know how I feel and that is heart broken. I just hope that your memories of this precious little one will help to get you through this devastating period. Hang in there and know that in time the hurt does get better to handle.

            My sincere condolences.

  36. Hubba Bubba says:

Condolences to the family! No one should experience the pain of losing a child especially so young.May god give you the strength to overcome this tragedy.
On another note, Im not saying this taxi driver is guilty of anything but have you seen or been the victim of taxi drivers bad driving.
They think they own the road! Stop whenever and wherever they want and never signal.Taxi drivers are supposed to be the better drivers on the road when in fact they are the worst!!!

    • What is really going on says:

      Did you witness the accident?

If not just do us all a favor and ZIP IT!

      • Hubba Bubba says:

If you had read my comment(Im not saying this taxis driver is guilty) correctly you wouldn’t have gotten so offensive unless you are a taxi driver….of course!!

  37. Brenda Correia says:

Let’s not over speculate..death when it comes in such tragedy is hard to comprehend and accept, may all those concerned especially the parents have our deepest sympathies and support.

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of this young child as well as the Taxi driver who I’m sure is also in pain.

  47. RowlandKeshena says:

I live on Mount Wyndham Drive (there is no Mt. Wyndham Rd, there is Wyndham Hill, Wyndham Lane and Mt. Wyndham Dv) and while my thoughts go out to the family i am curious as to where exactly on this private estate road this accident took place. I didn’t hear a thing, see any lights and this was right while i was eating dinner with my windows and doors open for the breeze.

People in this area drive like maniacs though. I obviously do not know the exact circumstances of this tragic event, but several times when driving my own car in the area i have had very close calls with drivers who are not residents. Just the other day for example when exiting Wyndham Lane onto Trinity Church Rd. i was a hair’s width away from being t-boned by somebody who came absolutely rocketing by (I estimate they must have been going at least 70 kmh). Roads in that area are particularly winding, narrow and with plenty of hard to see around corners and so i am often horrified at how carelessly people drive.

  48. atalostforwords says:

My condolonces to the grieving family of the infant and the taxi driver who who was involved.

There are no real words that can comfort those involved in this horrific tragedy. I pray for them and hope that they will find comfort in knowing that they will see their precious babe again when Jesus returns. God be with them to help them through this terrible time until that day. May God also be with the taxi driver and his family.

  54. Black Kat says:

We must pray for the Allen & Stovell Family also for the Taxi driver.

  56. Ladeej says:

My heart goes out to the baby’s parents. This is such a horrible situation! To the family, and to the taxi driver, you are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you strength each and every day.

  57. Words can not express how heart wrenching hearing this news really is, and I cant even imagine what the family is going through at this hour. my prayer is that the Lord will sustain this entire family and friends at this time and to comfort them with His peace, there are things in this life that we just don’t have answers for but God is our strength and we trust Him to bring you through.

  58. June Saltus says:

I can only imagine how this family must feel, on hearing this news my heart wept for their lost. I pray that God will guide them in their time of need and give them strength to carry on in the hard days to come; I offer my sympathy to the entire family.

To the Cab driver, God also bless and keep you, I can only imagine how you feel.

    • terrible says:

What a terrible phrase to use to describe such a tragic accident.

  59. Prayerful says:

@ Hubba Bubba you are truly out of order. You do not know the circumstance of this accident, so talking about taxi drivers’ reckless driving is so un-necessary at this time. I am sure the driver is in pain and needs a “family liaison officer assigned to him

  60. ShayronP says:

To all related families, you have my sincere condolences.

  61. Deepest Regrets says:
