Fundraiser For Gareth Hendrickson’s Children
You can have a good time for a good cause next week Monday, with friends of the late Gareth Hendrickson joining forces to host a Quiz Night to help support the education of the three young children he left behind.
Mr Hendrickson — a well-liked and well-respected husband and father of three — recently passed away at the age of 39 as a result of a pulmonary embolism.
To assist his widow in shouldering the high cost of the boys’ education, a group of employers, colleagues and friends are hosting a Quiz Night fundraiser on Monday, September 23rd.
Annie Richardson, Vice-President of Human Resources at Montpelier Re, said: “Montpelier employs Patricia Hendrickson who recently lost her husband, at age 39, due to a pulmonary embolism (blood clot to the lung).
“Trish is now left to raise their three young boys; Malcolm, 10 and Nicholas and Christopher, 8, all of whom currently attend Warwick Academy.
“As her employer, we felt the need to ‘do something’ and found that both of Gareth’s former employers, MS Frontier Re and Endurance shared the same feeling.
“We therefore joined forces and formed a joint committee to organize a fitting tribute for such a kind, respected and exceptional man. Gareth is truly missed by his friends and colleagues and we want to show his boys that this community can stand behind them and support them in achieving their educational goals.”
Sign in will be from 6pm until 6.30pm and the quiz will start at 7pm. The cost is $50 per person for teams of five and the price includes both the quiz participation and dinner. The MC for the night is Sherry J while the Quiz Master will be Mike Bishop
