“Robbing Hood” Suspect Remanded In Custody

September 11, 2013

Forty-nine year old Kevin Webb was remanded into custody until his trial on 4th December 2013 after he had pleaded not guilty in Magistrates Court this morning [Sept 11] to a charge of trespassing in a Warwick residence and stealing two flat-screen TV’s and jewellery to the value of $2,235.

Deputy DPP Cindy Clarke said that the offence was alleged to have occurred on 7th September when a neighbour had seen two men leaving a residence where the occupants were known to be away. Police were called. On investigation, Police found blood and fingerprints on the inside of the point of entry. The fingerprints led directly to Mr Webb and he was soon arrested.

Mr Webb chose not to make any comment when the Senior Magistrate asked about his being granted bail. Magistrate Warner then noted that based on his extensive criminal record, Webb appeared to be a “robbing hood”. The Magistrate then handed down his remand and trial date decision.
