Sigma Gamma Rho Awards Five Scholarships
The ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho presented five students with scholarship awards of $500 today [Sept 16]. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated has been in existence since November 12, 1922, and locally since April 1974, and has the slogan “Greater Service, Greater Progress.”
The Award winners [from left to right] are Candice Albuoy and Chelsea Warren [missing from photograph] who received the Rosalie Harvey Scholarships. Asiyah James Young and Tiffany Samuels [representing his sister is Deon Samuels] who received the Iona Richardson Scholarships and Cara Philip who received the Dr. E. Thomas Stowe Scholarship.
