Tariqah Walikraam Wins Women’s Golf Title
Bermudian Tariqah Walikraam has garnered more accolades for her efforts in the first Canadian ACAA golf event of the season this past weekend, winning the women’s individual championship by posting an 85 in representing Holland College, the Prince Edward Island school she currently attends.
Walikraam’s score came in five strokes better than second place finisher Jescynda Cain Hotham of Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University.
This latest win for the Bermudian golfer comes after she won the Most Valuable Player award at the Annual Holland Hurricanes Awards banquet last April. Walikraam, a professional golf management student and former Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Champion, was recognized for her contribution to golf at Canada’s Holland University.
