Bermuda Paint’s “Paint the Town Pink”

Bermuda Paint is focusing its marketing efforts on a female audience during the month of October. The company is running a “Paint the Town Pink” Campaign during the month of October to help create breast cancer awareness, but also to celebrate Bermuda’s women in general.

The company is offering a storewide 20% discount to all female customers for the entire month of October and is also offering free paint seminars geared towards women. These free seminars are being held every Saturday in October from 10am – 11am at Bermuda Paint on Watlington Road in Devonshire. Various topics will be covered such as: Ragging, Sponge Painting, Colour Palette Selection and How To Paint 101.

Mr. Bruce Wilkie, stated, “We are delighted that Bermuda Paint is acknowledging and focusing on its female customers during the month of October. We recognize that women over the years have taken on more responsibility and interest when it comes to areas of home improvement such as painting.

“It is more than just picking out the right color for your bedroom or living room, women want to know and understand more about the whole painting process. They are interested in learning about the different painting techniques, the different type of products and applications, and also how to do it by themselves and for themselves. Gender roles are becoming more and more intermingled in today’s world. This is evidenced by the fact that we see more women everyday taking charge of the painting of their homes.

“Similar to breast cancer month, our seminars are ultimately about empowering women to be resourceful and feel confident about their abilities. By supplying women with the knowledge and tools, Bermuda Paint company is hoping to encourage women to know more about what was traditionally a man’s job and to ultimately be able to paint for themselves.”
