BFA Camp Hosts Community Service Clean Up

The Bermuda Football Association National Academy Camp participants conducted a community service clean up on Wednesday [Oct 30], with 65 participants divided into 3 groups.  The routes covered included Roberts Avenue, Palmetto Road, Dutton Ave, Parsons Road, Frog Lane and more.

There were 8 full bags and 4 recycling bags collected and delivered to the Tynes Bay incinerator, and there are a further 6 full bags and 4 recycling bags at the Parson’s Road Playground along with two car batteries and a cycle lockbox that need to be collected.

    Great work!

    I wonder if any statistics were recorded as to the type of trash: single use plastic bags, bottles, cans, take-out containers, general garbage etc.

    This might be useful in light of Greenrock’s campaign against single use plastic bags. How significant is the issue?
