BFA First & Premier Football Division Results

This past weekend a number of football matches took place in the First Division and Premier Division, with Young Men Social Club, St. George’s Colts, Devonshire Colts, North Village Rams, Flanagan’s Onion’s all recording wins.

First Division

Boulevard Blazers 1 Young Men Social Club 2

At the Police Field the three goals in this match all came in the first half as Young Men Social Club defeated the Boulevard Blazers 2 – 1. Boulevard took the lead in the 33rd minute when Kenneth Butterfield scored, but two minutes later Young Men Social Club struck back when Andrew Samuels scored. In the 41st minute Samuels scored again to earn the visitors a 2 – 1 victory.

Paget Lions 0 Devonshire Colts 9

Kyle Jones scored four times at the Southampton Oval for the Devonshire Colts in their 9 – 0 win over the Paget Lions. Lozendro Symonds scored twice, while Ellington Weldon Jr., Carlos Trott and Dominic Lambe all added a goal each.

Ireland Rangers 1 St. George’s Colts 6

The St. George’s Colts travelled to the West End of the Island and took on Ireland Rangers at Malabar winning all three points with a 6 – 1 victory. St. George’s Colts were led to victory with two goals each from Jarazinho Bassett and Damon Darrell, while Jelani Carlington and David Signor added a goal each, Daunte Woods scored the lone goal for Ireland Rangers.

Premier Division

Devonshire Cougars 2 St. David’s 2

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, Drewonde Bascome gave the Devonshire Cougars the lead in the 30th minute, he then doubled the lead in the 69th, but St. David’s pulled a goal back in the 85th minute when Angelo Cannonier scored and then in injury time Shakil Robinson found the back of the net to earn St. David’s a 2 – 2 draw with the defending League Champions.

Southampton Rangers 2 North Village Rams 3

The North Village Rams too the lead at the Southampton Oval in the 22nd minute when Keishen Bean scored, Tyrell Burgess doubled the lead in the 50th minute and when Bean scored again ten minutes later the game seemed all but over, however the Southampton Rangers pulled a goal back in the 75th minute when McQuinn Burch found the back of the net and then ten minutes later Janeiro Tucker pulled the Southampton Rangers within one when he scored, but the North Village Rams were able to hold on for the victory.

Flanagan’s Onion’s 2 PHC Zebras 1

At the BAA Field, Keston Lewis gave the Flanagan’s Onion’s the lead in the 8th minute, but Robert Richardson pulled the PHC Zebras level in the 75th minute, however Peter Robey would score what proved to be the winner for the Flanagan’s Onions in their 2 – 1 win.

Dandy Town Hornets 1 Hamilton Parish 1

At the St. John’s Field, Hamilton Parish took the lead in the 40th minute when Lorenzo Simmons scored, things got worse for the Dandy Town Hornets two minutes later when Terrence Webb was sent off for violent conduct. Dandy Town had another player sent off, Calin Maybury for denying a Hamilton Parish player a goal scoring opportunity. Saki Tuzo was able to equalize for the home team as the two teams shared the points in this 1 – 1 draw.
