2013 Fire Safety Awareness Week Starts Nov. 4

The Ministry of Public Safety advised today [Oct 31] that the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service’s [BFRS] annual Fire Safety Awareness Week will be held from November 4 – 8, 2013.

This year’s theme is “Prevent Kitchen Fires”, and the BFRS is hosting events all next week aimed at raising awareness about fire safety in the kitchen.

Of particular note, the BFRS will be conducting a free fire extinguisher class on Thursday November 7th at 7.00pm at Hamilton Station.

“All interested individuals are invited to come and learn the proper use of a fire extinguisher”, a spokesperson said. For more information on next week’s activities call 292-5555.
