October 14, 2013

The first annual “Nightmare on Queen Street” Halloween event will take place on Friday, November 1st from 8pm – 2am at the Lemon Tree Café and Par-la-ville park, and will feature a night of gore, spook and fun terror.

A spokesperson said, “We are asking people to add to the atmosphere by coming in costume. We are hoping that a great part of the Nightmare will actually be the party goers themselves.

“The Nightmare is a “JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE” meaning people should take this opportunity to go all out, and “free up themselves”. The more outlandish the costume the better, especially since there will be a prize for the best costume. This event is for open minded people, who appreciate diversity and a good time. Like sunlight to traditional vampires, small minded, judgemental people are to the Nightmare…not welcome!

“This will not be your ordinary Friday night at Lemon Tree. Resident DJ, DJ Unkle will be spinning out his tunes, and will be joined by the Crown & Anchor band, and The Big Chill will take us through the witching hour unleashing his new Ibiza Mix! Peroni has come on board as our title sponsor and will have a Peroni bar set up with drinks specials going all night. Lemon Tree Café will ensure no one goes hungry and will be selling some of their amazing BBQ!

“Along with everything tap into your inner child and bob for apples, and dig through brains for a chance for free drinks! All donations collected at activity tables will go to sponsor the Bermuda Heart Foundation [BHF]! Anything like a good spook or scare gets your heart rate racing, which the BHF encourages!”
