  1. Time Shall Tell says:

Wow, that’s what 35Kmph can do? We need to reduce our speed limit then….

I know it’s keep left, but not that far left…Either way, I hope the two children are physically OK & not too shaken up by this traumatic experience.

they probably ended up in that position trying to avoid a bike either overtaking them or coming right at them

      • Tommy Chong says:

Look at the position marks the police put on the road. If it was the case of a bike being at fault the bike would have been hit as the car slid. They were speeding like a nascar driver to close to the turn & clipped the wall. Theres no way in the laws of physics you can rip a wheel away from a frame like that doing 35kmph. Its a blessing that no one was seriously hurt.

        • someotherguy says:

Actually it is very easy to rip a wheel off a car. Cars today are made to give or break to reduces the forces on the occupants of the car.

That’s why even little fender benders can cost a lot to fix

    • Tommy Chong says:

It’s apparent that you are being sarcastic we both know there’s no way that the car & wall would be damaged like that if the driver was doing anywhere close to 35kmph.

Drivers & riders need to stop speeding on our roads especially around corners as they are endangering the lives of themselves & others. Speeding is just as bad or worse as people who go around doing shootings. Anyone who doubts this statement should bare in mind how a vehicle can be a dangerous weapon & when speeding this weapon can kill indiscriminately. People speeding need to stop being so selfish & think of others.

N.B. For those who want to nitpick to justify themselves when I mention speeding it doesn’t mean those who go slightly over the legal limit time to time. By speeding I mean those who go over 45 kmph on the regular which can be avoided & should be since we have nowhere on the island where this can be done safely. You people fly past me & I end up catching up to you doing at max 40 kmph because you can only go so far doing that speed in Bermuda.

No, that shows how cheap these cars are made out of today, they are made out of recycled metal and tin, dah!

Wall: 1, Car: 0. Always the same score.
