19 Yr Old Motorcyclist Injured In Sandys Collision

A 19 year old motorcyclist was injured in collision early this morning [Nov 22] in Sandys.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 7:30am on Friday, November 22nd first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Woodlawn Road in Sandys parish.

“It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road and a truck was exiting Woodlawn Road when the vehicles collided. The motorcycle rider, a 19 year old Pembroke man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

“There were no other injuries reported; however both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Nathaneal Tannock at the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.”
