Bermuda Remembers JFK On 50th Anniversary

November 22, 2013 marks 50 years since American President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, forever changing the political landscape in the United States.

People around the world took time out this week to remember President Kennedy’s legacy, including in Bermuda where Governor George Fergusson and Acting US Consul General Adam Vogelzang commemorated the anniversary of his death by laying a wreath at the site of where President Kennedy planted a tree during his Bermuda visit in the 1960s.

This weekend, CITV is presenting a special half hour programme on Bermuda and the anniversary of the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy entitled ’50 years ago’. The programme can be seen at 9.30 a.m., 9.30 p.m. and 5.30 a.m. all this weekend.
