Investigations Ongoing Into Recent Burglaries

Since October 1st 2013, police have received a number of reports of burglaries having occurred in Sandys, Southampton, Warwick, Paget and Pembroke parishes.

A police spokesperson said, “Investigations are continuing into these matters and detectives believe that many of these burglaries are linked.

“The identified areas are:

Sandys:

  • Spring Benny Lane/Tribe Road #6/George’s Bay Lane

Southampton:

  • St. Anne’s Road

Warwick:

  • Rockland Crescent
  • Second Avenue
  • Sun Valley Road
  • Middle Road/Lusher Lane/Pearman’s Hill West/Spice Hill Road

Paget:

  • Harvey Road

Pembroke:

  • Gorham Road
  • Church Street (The Cathedral)
  • Church Lane
  • Pitts Bay Road
  • Mill Reach Road/Pembroke Park Lane/Addendum Lane
  • Spanish Point Road/North Cote West

“Residents with information regarding these burglaries are encouraged to contact their nearest police station.

“In addition, members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or persons in their neighbourhoods to the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”

      I’m with you 100%, the police are reactive not proactive. They’re only good for cleanup once YOU solve the issue.

    There have been far more burglaries in the Spring Benny/ White Hill area then reported here and on other media outlets. Please people be cautious. My thoughts is that it is persons already known to police and someone who lives in the neighborhood because all of the break ins are within short walking distance from one another. This is where neighbors need to band together because I am sure someone knows something, has seen something or heard something. The police can only do so much, the community has to act and not allow a few to terrorize the many. Loyal Hill has the right model.
