  1. Let's get real says:

Chris, I know you are otherwise a good guy. Hopefully you can work through these demons of yours before something much more serious transpires.

    • “otherwise a good guy.” Are you serious? What would he have to do to be a bad guy?

      • Let's get real says:

I knew him and respected him as a person. I obviously did not know this side of him. But the good, respectable side hasn’t just disappeared. It is right there next to this sickness.

        • Round de Bend says:

I know him, I played on a few basketball teams with him and he is one of the nicest people I’ve met…such a shame that he chose to act in this way

    • swing voter says:

      a little late aren.t u?

      • Let's get real says:

Maybe, but it doesn’t sound like anyone was physically hurt. Not saying that what he has done is not terrible.

        • Boss Lady says:

You are straight RETARDED! If you have kids… go let them play at his house! See how much sympathy you have then.

    • Bermudagirl says:

Yes, and Hilter liked dogs! @Letsgetreal, why don’t we do just that? Chris is a pedophile, the worst kind of sick.

      • Let's get real says:

Jesus I know. I’m saying it’s sad because he seemed like a very good person.

  2. sage says:

How does someone actually intrude on someones privacy on facebook, a social network? And does young girls mean underaged or not?

    • Steph says:

I’m guessing because it says “unlawful” that it means that the girls are underaged

    • Come Correct says:

It said as young as 11 in the initial article, that’s just sick.

    • Landlubber says:

They would be if they were harassing the girl/woman against her will. If a creep sends a girl messages that she does not want, and keeps sending and sending them and bothering her then he is guilty of intruding upon her privacy. Likewise if a guy gets a girl’s number and calls and calls her (e.g. asking her out on a date)even though she asks him not to, he’s intruding on her privacy; it doesn’t just have to be physical.

    • Landlubber says:

Also, I assume these were underage girls-the word ‘luring’ suggests these were young, vulnerable females.

    • Lifeblood says:

In this case the defendant imposed himself on the personal page of a female and made statements of a sexual nature which were uninvited and unwanted, and which probably caused the recipient to become uncomfortable or concerned. That’s intruding on the privacy of a female, whether on Facebook or in person.

“Young girls” are not necessarily under age…simply young girls, like 18 to 19 years.

  3. Kangoocar says:

Castration!!!!! The only answer for perverts like him!!!!

  4. haha says:

…. u need to speak to ya bra…

  5. julie says:

This guy is weirdo I got messaged on fb from him on many occasions what a losee using fb as his personal dating site

  6. Unbelievable says:

This is very surprising and unfortunate. Even people of great character need guidance, but someone must carry the cross for others to witness.

  7. Arthur-Atlanta says:

With Facebook allowing anyone from the age of 13 yrs to sign up, it is very important for parents to constantly monitor who their child/ren is in contact with. Not just Facebook but also text messaging, Skype, cell phone calls and any of the other modern communication methods. Parents ‘YOU’ have the full responsibility to know what your child/ren are doing. I know you cannot be beside your child 24 hours a day but you can check their communication/contact history daily or weekly. There are perverts and predators out there and you have to accept your responsibilities when you allow them to have these modern devices. After something bad happens, you will wish both that you never allowed them to have the device or you will wish you had closely monitored their use more. It is like you leaving the car keys lying around or leaving the liquor cabinet unlocked. some young people will be tempted to ‘try’. Remember when you are talking about ‘some’ young people, they have not fully develop good judgement skills to know when they are being lead astray, so “STAY ALERT” as to what your children are doing. The sick perverts and predators are very very slick and clever.

    • Annie says:

I assume the parents WERE vigilant-otherwise he wouldn’t have been caught. It’s good general advice, though.

Those making excuses for this man (albeit in a roundabout way) should be ashamed of yourself. This man is sick, sick, sick and needs some intensive therapy which may not make the urges go away (pedophiles cannot be cured) but at least help him to demonstrate some self control.

      • Let's get real says:

Nobody is making excuses. They are saying that he seemed like a good person. Why is that such a bad thing to say? It’s true. We know he is sick and needs help.

  8. just a thought says:

& this is one of the main reasons i wouldn’t allow my daughter to have facebook! Its sickening!

    • Eyes Wide Open says:

Totally agree!! I know of two 12 -13 year old girls who have Facebook and Instagram accounts that are public! Their mothers know that their accounts are public and it sickens me to know that they allow it especially with the “suggestive” type of poses that these children have on their pages. Some parents need not be parents…hmph!

  9. SMDH! says:

he tried to get me a few times… not this girl. i am smarter then i appear to be.

  10. blunt says:

Chris thought u was on a vacation didn know it was that type of vacation sadly your a nice cool chill guy.. By society will judge u for doing wrong.. But too each is own. Were any of these people there wen u were being a nice guy and still not scoring with the ladys. Sad to see you tried full-fil your needs and because your socially not accepted someone took upon themselves to turn u in. This type of stuff happen”s everyday damn day. Don’t judge the book if u haven’t read the PAGES BERMUDA. There’s No Unity In The Community We Judge A Book By Its Cover Before Finding Out The Story ALL THE TIME. I’m a Young Black Male An Chris Was My Homie. Didn’t know he was into those type of things But the only way to change is to embrace your issue and become stronger. Stay Up Chris Up U Ever Read This SH**

  11. Ann Robinson says:

same idiot sending me messages on facebook. deserves all he gets.

  12. Straight up says:

do that to my girl and you will not have hands, feet, ears, or genitals
you people defending him are part of the problem. how many times did you turn a blind eye?

it only takes one time to ruin the innocence, virginity, or sancitity of a girl. ONCE.

You freaks who defend this ANIMAL are no better.

  13. tricks are for kids.... says:

HE is not the only one that has done this..Trust me when I tell you…..He unfortunately was reported and I can bet my last dollar that he was not reported by all that he chose to contact….You would be surprised by the amount that use it as a “sex/dating site”…..If your child has a facebook account then yes their account should be frequently checked by their parents….I have worked with students who have “lied” about their age and it is very easy to falsify that information when setting up a FB account…..IMO 19 years of age is NOT young….they are past the age of consent….so I am assuming he was charged because his soliciting was very aggressive, unwarranted and getting out of hand….Also in reading the article “young gilrs’ does not necessarily mean “underage”

  14. smh says:

smh! this guy sent me messages on Facebook too. smfh! i knew he must be crazy!

  15. lightbulb says:

My boy blunt is right like I’m just learning of this craziness and honestly I don’t want to believe it but facts are facts. I’ve played on the same team as this guy traveled away for basketball with the guy too and not once did I ever think he would do that cause he’s just the opposite in person, crazy to think that he done this. I’m Not justifying his actions cause they were wrong and don’t even patronize me for defending him either cause the guy was like a brother. What would you do if you just found out your, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or even your parents did something like this? What would you do at first? Deny deny deny deny so don’t get on us for acting this way when it’s only natural. I’m not saying his innocent but damn chris why bro I know you would have made it places bro.
And not any of you other people were there to get to know him so why judge a book by its cover? Yes what he did was wrong but he didn’t have sex with them but your treating him so nasty like calling him a fucking animal you are disgrace to society I would say the same thing but I won’t bother to come to your level he is a human being. Shows the level of maturity in this society today.
Sorry you hadn’t learned sooner chris but it’s to late now, but in the end your still my boy, I hope you can read this bro you know who is light bulb.

  16. Me says:

There are so many men like this in Bermuda. Believe me it is not just girls that are being targeted by these weirdos. Men have came up to me offering money to take pictures. They come off as really cool but there’s always a motive for this “niceness”. Legalise the herbs, put away the pervs. AMEN! what should be done is rehabilitation to be honest. Putting someone behind bars only makes them more horny when they get out
